Banner and OWLS:
Cricut Expressions- Various Cricut Cartridges.
The letters were done with STORYBOOK. I played with the size until I found one I liked. I used good scrapbook paper for these, picked them out first before I started. I pop dotted the white blackout letter and the letter on top.. You can also find the owls in my Etsy store or might have to do a CONVO and I will create a custom order for you.

Invitations, Cupcake Toppers, Invitations and Food Signs:
To purchase the invitation and misc. items: GO HERE
MY ETSY SHOP:  http://www.etsy.com/shop/JJRDesigns
I used the digital scrapbook kit to create the cupcake toppers, and the signs, and invitations.. I got them printed at Office Depot, and cut them out. I cut out most cupcake toppers with the Cricut so I can mass cut a whole 12x12 sheet at once, but a hand punch would suffice also, just a lot more work.
For the invitations I used Microsoft Publisher. The digital Scrapbook Kit I bought had all the graphics and papers used.

Cake,Cupcakes and Stands:
The cake and cupcakes are from Miss Mamie's. http://www.missmamiescupcakes.com/
The cakes were Strawberry Flavored and the Cupcakes were Strawberry and Cheesecake made with fresh fruit!
Cake Stand: http://www.etsy.com/listing/76973491/12-inch-round-ribbon-cake-plate The cupcake tower was Wilton from from Amazon.
Cupcake Wrappers: http://www.skiptomylou.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/CupcakeWrapper.pdf
I also bought a Wilton cupcake stand on Amazon.com

Outfits:
The Dress and Tutu set was from Etsy.
Polka Dot Pillow Dress with Matching Head Band: http://www.etsy.com/shop/izzysgma
Tutu Set and Hat/Bib/Bloomers: http://sillymonkeyboutique.com/category_6/Birthday.htm
Shoe: Stride Rite

Favors-Cookie Favors:
The owl and #1 cookie favors were also from Etsy. TSCookies! They arrived in excellent shape and were a hit! http://www.etsy.com/shop/TSCookies
Each guest got one cookie each!

Flowers:
I made the arrangements with flowers I bought at Costco and also some fillers I bought at Marietta Flower Shop.

Decorations:
Most of them from Party City, but the Pom Poms were hand made research any Martha Stewart or Similar POM POM online tutorial. Pink and Green Gumballs from Party City. Vases from Walmart. Ribbons from Michaels. The umbrella's came from Hobby Lobby. The best table covers were from Party City, which were used as back drop also. The table covers from Walmart were not good quality and very transparent.

Photo Book:
Shutterfly

Babies R Us

Signature Frame:
Mat, Frame, Backing and Glass from Michaels. Owls cut out with Cricut Create a Critter. I used Making Memories Scrapbooking Alpha's for the letters!

  4. What did you use for the table cloth and back drop?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Just regular rectangular table cloths from Party City, don't get the ones from Walmart if you use in front of window they are a lot thinner than the ones from Party City...

    1. Hi,

loved your arrangements. how you did the backdrops and table cloths in details. we are renting a hall so the backdrop is really in "NEED". How did you hang them there, the hall does not have anything to hang any drapes/curtains to block the wall and/or the fireplace

    2. I used some twine (rope) not too thick.. but what I did was I made a "curtain" with the tape and the "rope".
I laid the table cloth on the floor, then added the rope on top, and folded it over and taped it, making like a "curtain" so I held it up with the rope, and used push pins and tape to keep it up the wall! At one place I had to use some nails on the wall.. on top of the window frame where you couldn't see the holes..The push pins did a great job and with the rope you can poof out the back drop! Be generous so you don't see the back.. and don't get the ones from walmart.. they were paper thing and broke easily too.

    1. Hey there! Thank you! ;-) I had a lot of fun and just started planning her 2nd birthday! Time flies! I used a template I found online for water bottles, then used Microsoft Powerpoint to edit it, and then printed them out at Office Depot/Office Max.

      Outfits:
The Dress and Tutu set was from Etsy.
Owl Polka Dot Pillow Dress: http://www.etsy.com/shop/izzysgma
      Tutu Set and Hat/Bib/Bloomers: http://sillymonkeyboutique.com/category_6/Birthday.htm

The digital scrapbook kit I found online through searching.. it was $3..
I just checked and don't think the site is still available..
      Product:: SKU18246
      Product: Sassy Owl
      Item price: $3.00
It was from www.scrapthatidea.com seems to not exist anymore.

Just search for an owl digital scrapbook kit, and you should be able to get one!

Ask away! Would be glad to help! I had so much fun!

    1. The letters were done with STORYBOOK. I played with the size until I found one I liked. I did the fat letters for the white on the bottom. I used good scrapbook paper for these, picked them out first before I started. I pop dotted the white blackout letter and the letter on top.. I used good BAZZIL 12x12 paper for the letters, I cut them out at once.

The scalloped circles I need to check on, I think it was ACCENT ESSENTIALS. Any scalloped circle will do, maybe around 4"-5" cut? The Circle was done with PLANTAIN SCHOOLBOOK (again some others might offer the circle so you don't have to get one of each)..

I used CREATE-A-CRITTER for the OWL. It was bigger than the scallops, but play with size to see what you like. I used BAZZIL paper, and then layered the owls, you will use different layers to get the effects on the owl.

I used a single hole punch for the holes, misc ribbon..

I got most of my cartridges brand new on EBAY and paid around $20-30 for them.. the stores have sales, but don't always have the best prices. Most of these cartridges are 3 years old also.

Storybook I used very very often though, so it's a great one, and create-a-critter is also you can make so many things with it (lady bugs, whales, etc)

  16. You did wonderful job on her first birthday. The owl theme is fantastic. Well, my home is quite small so I would like to book some medium sized party venue Houston TX for my son’s birthday party. I hope that I’ll get an affordable venue soon!
