Our 6th Wedding Anniversary!

This weekend we celebrated our 6th Wedding Anniversary! We don't usually stay home (did Vegas last year) but for this year we have too much happening this month! So our anniversary trip is scheduled for Nov. 4-8 and we don't have a location yet, we're going back and forth, from Miami, Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, to Orlando, Maya Riviera, Playa del Carmen, St. Maarten, St. John, Puerto Rico..etc etc.. very frustrating! We even thought of going back to Aruba but airfare alone is pretty steep...Let's say it's so much easier to just go to Aruba though! LOL!

So even with me studying this weekend we had an awesome weekend! I gave hubby some Maui Jim sunglasses, and he got my an awesome Sony Cybershot camera! For dinner we went to Sal Grosso Brazillian Steakhouse. You can also see that hubby was being creative, and modified one of my card, and punched some label...lol.. he said he snuck down to MAKE me a card, but he was SO confused he did not know where to start! Too cute... I also had my favorite dessert, FLAN!!! Yummy...

Here are some pics!

Caardvarks- "Take a Bow" Challenge!

Caardvark has a fun challenge going on until the 17th of October! It's called "Take a Bow" and it's basically creating a card using ribbon in a different way than you normally would! I have attempted to make some flowers, but ended up with a simple design, even though I might use the flowers I created later on!
I used Bazzill CS, Basic Basic Ribbon, Cuttlebug Embosser and Thanks, and Prima Flowers. I can always use a thank you card, so here you go! Unfortunately you cannot see the ribbon detail where I zigzagged them over each other...also, the cuttlebug embossing is hard to see..

Scrap for a Cure- Dimension 10/05 Challenge!

Scrap for a Cure has a very neat challenge this week! Work with dimension and pop dots! I had lots of fun with this! I use Kaiserkraft Paper (Marrakesh), Bo Bunny Blue Swirls and Red Chunky Chips Alpha's, Captivating Alpha's and Kaiserkraft Brads!

Cuttlebug- Be Inspired- #52-SPOOKY CARD

This week's challenge at Cuttlebug Blogspot entails making a Halloween-Fall Card using the Cuttlebug! I made a fun Halloween card, using Bazzill CS, Martha Stewart Felt Ribbon,  Jeepers Creepers Happy Halloween Ribbon and Pop Eyes, Jenni Bowlin Bingo Card, Cuttlebug Dotted Folder, and a black Prima Flower. This was a fun challenge, I had made several card with the bingo cards, they are lots of fun.  It's a fun and easy card...I liked it so much I sent a similar one to Aruba to my parents!  I've been having so much fun with the card making I haven't done a layout in 3 weeks! ;-) Looking back at my cards from when I started in mid august, I can see that I have improved some, though I still have lots more to learn! Thanks for checking this out! Have a great day!!

This week!

Good morning! Thanks for stopping by! It's a very exciting week!! Guess what I am getting for my BIRTHDAY?? Yes! A Cricut! I will be getting it next week, but won't open it until after my exam which is Oct. 24th ( I know I should wait for my birthday also, but I won't!) Thanks Mom and Dad!!! I also went on e-bay and got some good prices on new cartridges, so I am all set! I know it will take a while to learn everything it seems a little complicated!
I will be working on some challenges this week. Caardvark's has a ribbon challenge. I am taking my time trying to come up with something rather than plop up something like I have been from lack of time. Citrus Tree Studio is also revealing their monthly challenges this Saturday, and Scrap for a Cure already revealed their Monday Challenge that I will be working on this weekend while taking a study break. Cuttlebug Blogspot is also revealing their grand prize winner this week and should be posting a new challenge as well!

Have a great week!

Anniversary Card

Hubby and I are celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary next week! It was hard to come up with something not too girly but still classy... It took a while, but at last it came together. The sticker I intended to use for this card in the end was not used, so I had to come up with a plan B, and those black letters were the only thing that were able to fit after I also attempted to make I LOVE YOU from the cuttlebug, I didn't like the way it looked. So! Here is the end result.. I used Bazzill CS, My Mind's Eye 29th Street Paper, Prima Flowers (2 types) I just LOVE the white rose, Martha Stewart Scalloped/Doiley Punch, Thicker Alpha, and Swirls I can't recall..I also inkt the edges... Started inking this weekend and LOVE IT! :-) I am also SO GLAAAD I learned how to use the round edge punch!!

Wedding Card

I was very excited to work on my first Wedding Card!!! We have a friend getting married in two weeks and I wanted to make a special card for the couple.Their colors are silver and an old rose, but the colors were not matching, so I stuck with the silver and white. It was hard to choose something to put on the cover, but I fell in love with this wedding cake! I used Bazzill CS, Jollee Wedding Cake Sticker, Basic Basic White Ribbon, Wedding Pins, Cuttlebug Embossing, my edge punch and Silver Paper.

Invitations are DONE and going Postal!

I have been working on 20 invitations for my 30th Birthday Party for about 2 weeks now. I finally finished them today and they are heading to the post office in a little! I had the hardest time finding the MUMMIES! I had to look at different stores, and call around and had then HOLD them for me! It was a mess! But I lucked out and one store had 7 and one 13! It was my lucky day! THEN, I run out of RIBBON! So 4 cards are actually made of a transparent version of the black and white dots since they were out of them also.... but that's the best I could do! I'll have to find some more, because I had fun using the black with white dotted ribbon!

Here you go! I used Bazzill CS, Wooden Mummies, Basic Basic and Celebrate It Ribbon, Cuttlebug Olivia Alpha for the 30, Cuttlebug Swirls, and You're Invited Embossing folders, Pin, and Black and Beige Stickles!

Fall Arrangements

Before my interest in scrapbooking I truly enjoyed making arrangements and even participated in a Craft Show a few years ago. I made two arrangements for Fall for my house and wanted to share it with you!
Here you go! I bought most material at Michaels, sorry I don't have the names of items I used.

Thanks for checking it out! Have a great weekend!
