Sad Day..

I am still in shock to have found out late Saturday night that one of my colleague's passed away. Her name was Debbie. She had a seizure after swimming July 6th and was taken to the hospital. After many tests they found out she had a brain tumor and stage 3b trachiary cancer. She had her brain tumor removed Aug. 19th, but developed several infections, and her body could not handle them. She died at the hospital. Everyone is in shock. She never even got to get chemo. :-( My prayers are with her family. She had no kids, and was in her mid fifties at the most. She had a sister fly in this weekend luckily and her other half Bob and her kitty.

This is the second colleague I loose since July! We lost another after a 3 year battle with prostate cancer. Very sad day at work today! You will be missed Debbie!

You guys are the best! I truly appreciate all your love, support and prayers.
As I go in for this surgery tomorrow that will fundamentally change who I am in some form or fashion, I felt compelled to touch base with y'all.
I am truly blessed and if I convey nothing else, I want my message to be don't let the sun go down on anger or hurt feelings with people you love. Make sure they know everyday how much you love and cherish them. Because life can change in an instant. You never know what His plan is for you or how what you may be experiencing is really not your lesson but someone else's.
Carpe Diem! Sieze the day. Make the most of each day and take nothing for granted. It's all a great gift.
I know he is not finished with me yet.

Caardvark Sketch #3 DRS Challenge

This is the 3rd card I created for the DRS Caardvark Challenge. I used Bazzill Cardstock, SEI Black Orchid Paper, DCWV Black Paper, Prima Flowers, and a Happy Birthday rub on. I also used the Basic Basic black polka dotted ribbon.

Caardvark DRS Sketch 2 Challenge

I decided to make two more cards for the Caardvark DRS Challenge! Here is my take on Sketch 2! Since the Holidays are around the corner I got inspired by my Christmas paper could use a head start on my Christmas cards!

I used Bazzill Cardstock, with K&Company Seasonal Paper Pad, MS Doily Punch, Basic Basic Ribbon, Happy Holiday Rub On, and my cuttlebug for some embossing, and Soft Spoken Christmas tag/sticker. I also added some bejeweled stones onto the card...

September Citrus Tree Studio Challenges!

The month of September started another month of great Challenges at Citrus Tree Studio! I have participated in 3 of them so far for this month!

First one is Tammy's Color Challenge, it was a Monochromatic Challenge and I decided to use PINK as my color inspired by our outfits!

Second one is a Sketch Challenge, and the third one is a Technique Challenge, which entailed masking. I used a 6x6 template and glimmer mist for my layout.

Since I have been doing mainly cards for the past4 weeks, I've almost forgotten how to work on layouts! ;-) I had lots of fun!

Cuttlebug Challenge- #48 Card and Giftbag

I really enjoyed this challenge, since I first created my birthday invitation. I used the same inspiration of my wooden mummy, and the black and white color scheme was inspired by the polka dotted ribbon. I used a plain American Greeting Gift Bag. Cuttlebug Challenge- #47 Birthday Invitation

Since my birthday is next month, and I want to have a Halloween Themed party, I created this fun Halloween Invite that I will be using for my own birthday! I will be 30 on the 30th! This is my first entry to Cuttlebug Challenge, so I am very excited! Caardvark DRS Sketch Challenge

Las Vegas Album

This is the first album I've ever made! I had tons of fun making our Las Vegas Vacation Album! I used the Kaiser Craft Wooden Star Album. I used several ribbons, real playing cards, and several types of paper. I also used some Thicker letters, and Jollee stickers.
